I want to go on this mission trip to Guatemala in May 2012 with a group from my church. The first $200 is due on the 14th of this month. And money is so ridiculously tight. Can you please pray that God provides a way?

I find myself being really negative with all of the “christians” around me who are clearly whitewashed tombs. People that love calling themselves Christian, but are so worldly it’s pathetic. People who think Christianity is just a label or some country club to be part of.

Honestly, that’s the best way I can describe it. They think it’s a freaking country club! They are snobby little brats and wouldn’t know who Jesus was if he were standing right in front of them.

Don’t get me wrong … I have had a lot of self-control with these people. But I am to the breaking point. And they are all around me. One of them is even my roommate. I’m going to explode, and it’s not going to be good.

Jesus’ blood was not shed so that you can straighten and gel your hair and go stand around singing and checking out girls at the college Christian group that meets once a week. YOU’RE A JOKE!

I would say, go to school … and serve Jesus well.

Don’t be afraid to take those steps hun. I know how overwhelming that feeling is. Just do it, because once you take the steps, you find how solid the ground actually is. And you will be able to take the next steps that come afterward.

Are you really a follower of Christ? If so, then.. why do you vandalize your body with tattoo? Don't you know that your body is the temple of Christ?

This is really an open-handed issue.

If one were to read the Bible, there would be no inclination either way about whether or not tattoos are forbidden.

Also, I’d like to point out the language in your question. You said “vandalize”, which was clearly used in an attempt to receive a prescribed response, i.e. anger.

Now, what if I am a believer who has struggled with anger issues my entire life? You have then, in fact, caused me to stumble by becoming angry with you, making me a murderer (Jesus said this himself).

I am not trying to bring you down Anonymous. But I really would like you to reevaluate your thinking in this. Should we bicker about such trivial things? Or should we embrace one another, treating each other as though we are literally part of the same body?
